Damn the walk... just talk!!!

Crazy and insensitive are the words which come to my mind as I watch the program 'Walk the Talk' hosted by Shekhar Gupta on NDTV. The guest is the owner of the IPL team Mumbai Indians - Nita Ambani!!!
The interview is ok, she talks intelligent and seems like a no-nonsense lady. She is talking about her team, about her dreams, about her dream project and of course, 'how could I forget' 'The OTHER Modi'!!!
'The Other Modi' or more aptly 'The IPL Modi' is the talk of the country. As we followed IPL 3 this year, as the tournament progressed, we started following the games off the field with more interest and vigor than the games inside!!! It all started with 'tweets'. Maybe Modi tried playing smart but 'panga' against a Central Minister proved too expensive for his own good.
It is such an irony that the Minister who he took to battle is also a famous twitter in his own right!!!
So the things went on a frenetic pace, he took Tharoor's job, and the Congress Govt. duly obliged with a return gift. It was quite alarming to see Congress use agencies like IT and media for its one point agenda, which was to paint Modi the villain and throw him out. They got after Pawar, BCCI and IPL franchises, just to scare and invariably tell them to shut up and stay away from Modi!!!
Anyway, coming back to this 'Walk the Talk', it was quite refreshing to see Nita Ambani sing praises for Modi. Let us face it, whatever may the truth be, IPL was Modi's baby and he brought it up so well. It was sadly taken away from him. Maybe he tried to take on something too big for himself!!!
BTW, if you are wondering about the title of this post and why did I start with words like crazy and insensitive, take this - Nita Ambani is made to walk around inside a stadium, out in the open, in the middle of the day!!! Summers are not the nice time to be walking out in open, especially if you are a Nita Ambani. She as well as Shekhar are sweating profusely!!! Someone give these media guys some brains!!!

They seem to have lost it... damn with the walk Shekhar... just sit and talk!!!

An expensive GARLAND!!!

I have lived in Bahrain for 9 years now. I have seen a lot of different dinar notes here. The design, colors and looks of the notes have changed 3 times in these 9 years. I guess it will be a similar case when it comes to UAE Dirhams, Kuwaiti Dinars, Saudi Riyals, etc. People here love to change the designs every few years. People love to see new notes. You will never ever find a cut in a note. You will never ever find an old note. Banks circulate them very well. Actually, its funny at times. They, sort of overdo it. But hold on, I think the people here love their currency. They take pride of their currency. It’s as if - it's a National Symbol and they want to show the best to the world. You might call is show-offism, I'll call it Nationalism.

In India we lack it. When you see people making garlands out of currency notes, that’s highest form of disrespect that you can show to your nation. Forget Mayawati for a while. We all know what kind of Nationalist she is, but making garlands out of currency notes has been there for a long time now. Why are we waking up now and ostracizing the CM of UP? Is it because of the value of the garland??? Why didn't we ever blink our eyes when our brothers wore a garland of currency notes at his marriage or when we greeted a religious guru with such a garland??? Any impertinence shown towards National flag, national currency, national heritage is a complete 'NO-NO'. It shows our values, our love for the country or THE LACK OF IT.

As I have been saying for quite some time, in the last few years, there has been an erosion of values among my brothers and sisters living in India. The 'Chalta Hain' attitude is killing us. The 'ignorance is bliss’ attitude has taken roots in our minds. No wonder the Government and the media has taken all of us for a ride. They know, nothing is gonna affect us too much. We will 'forget and forgive' or even worse - ignore!!!

Wake up guys!!! The world is looking at us. We have to live up to it!!!

CM Mayawati released the main accused Maulana Tauqir Raza Khan after police arrested him as main accused... to pacify his supporters I guess :-P Shameful....The news is on NDTV site... wonder why they don't show it on their news??? Is it because the main rioters are from the other side??? Your guesses are as good as mine.....

SRK's 'Injured' Player turns up miraculously 'Fit'!!!

SRK said that he wanted to pick Pakistan players for his team. He particularly wanted Razzaq but since he was out with wrist injury, SRK could not pick him for IPL starting March 12, 2010. I wonder if SRK knows that the player who was supposed to be unfit in March 2010, ended up being the best bowler and the best batsman in the Pakistan-England T20 on February 21, 2010???
Which brings us to the question that if Razzaq was indeed fit and if SRK's blood bled so much for Pakistan and its players, why didn't he pick Razzaq???
Or was it all MNIK stunt as we have always been suspecting???
SHAME ON YOU SRK!!!
MNIK is a BIG BORE! DVD watch recommended, Theater watch - waste of money and time. Just watched 45 min of the start... couldn't bear more!

My Name is Kasab and I'm not a Terrorist....

No, that’s not a movie name – it’s a reality show going on in the country 24x7 for the past 1.5 years approximately. Yes, you counted it right, full 15 months have passed since that horrific night.

And where are we? We are still feeding the rascal, every day out of the hard earned tax money of Indians. What is the Government doing??? Where is the media looking??? I thought these days the media has taken upon the task of implementing its own justice, its own courts, where it lays its own charges and announces its own verdict. But it fails me, why the same media is so quiet and patient when it comes to the most high profile enemy of the country??? When they can blow out SS, MNIK, 'The Other' Gandhi Hate speech out of proportions, why can't they take a stand on the Kasab verdict delay???

We have given up our hope on the Appeasing Government. That I can understand. But has the media also started being soft when it comes to any sensitive issue concerning the minority??? I remember, during the Batla House encounter too, the Media, especially the English Media was evidently low on speaking against the stupid morons who were supporting the bastards killed by the police. Has the media started acting as the right hand of the government? Your guess is as good as mine.

We all remember the nonsense that happened when it came to the Supreme Court verdict on Afzal Guru Case. Even when SC had been loud and clear in its verdict that he should be hanged till death, the government is still not too keen to implement the decision. Reason - it might hurt the sentiments of people in Kashmir. The same government did nothing or to be more precise was not soft on victims when the sentiments of some other people from Kashmir were hurt a decade ago.

I'm sorry; I have a feeling that the history might repeat itself when it comes to the Demon Kasab as it did with Afzal Guru. Some one will cry foul or some one will be abducted and Government made to exchange Kasab. I can already hear Kasab yell out to the President of India - 'My Name is Kasab and I'm not a terrorist'!!!

F%*$ My A@#!!!

Aman ki (Nir)asha....

Two of the leading News Media groups launch the Cultural Exchange campaign called 'Aman ki Asha'. In India all the (pseudo) secular people hail the initiative. After all, 1.5 years had passed since the ghastly 26/11, so what the conspirators are roaming free in Pakistan, so what Pakistan hasn't shown the remotest of inclination of catching the perpetrators, let alone punishing them.

You know, the show must go on, appeasement policy of the Indian Government must go on, crores must be spent to ensure a just and fair justice process for the 'Cult Hero' Mohammed Ajmal Kasab. So what he showed least of sympathy while spraying bullets into innocent Indians in Mumbai on that fateful day. IPL snub of Pakistan players is met with strong condemnation by the (pseudo) secular people, media and the bollywood bigwigs.

And if that was not the last straw, Indian Government decides to restart the composite dialogue with Pakistani counterparts. Bravo but hold on. We as people have a right to ask the 'Aman ki Asha' groups, (pseudo) secular people, the hysterical useless media and the Indian Government - what has changed on the other side of the border that we deem it necessary again to restart such confidence building measure??? What has Pakistan done in the intervening period that it gets the lollypop of friendship from our side??? Whose confidence are we building??? Pakistan Government, Pakistani people (who in the first place had nothing to do with all this, who are equally pained and suffering from the same demon) or are we helping the very perpetrators and building their 'confidence' to initiate fire and suffering against Indian people once more!!! Its as if we are urging them 'Once More - Once More'!!!

It fails me. I'm lost, I'm confused, I'm angry, there are many negative emotions running through me. Is it just me or are there many like me staring at hopelessness, staring at hollowness, staring at a black hole!!! I feel people in India have lost the feeling of sensitivity. We have forgotten the value of human blood, we have, sort of, devalued the human life. What are we trying to showcase here??? That we are the big forgiving brother, that we can consume huge losses and still look through our enemies with compassion??? B&^%S%$T, all B&^%S%$T. We are projecting ourselves as stupid, ignorant, insensitive fools who have no self respect as a country. The world will know that even if we are attacked as a country, we would still go to our enemies with folded hands and say 'sorry'. Its as if USA decides to talk to Bin Laden and starts a 'Forgive and Forget' campaign. If it comes to that, will we not laugh at America???

Absolutely disgusting. More so disgusting and disapointing is that none of the media houses takes up the issue as I see.

I think we have lost it, we have lost it in trying to appear the Big and Forgiving!!! Forget and forgive - MY FOOT!!!

Friends, find below Pakistan response to Indian Government initiative for resumption of dialogues:

What is wrong with our MEDIA???!!!

It was around 11 in the morning in Bahrain and I had just started the usual lazy Friday holiday playing around with my little son and wife!!! I was embarrassed, embarrassed because I had thought that the First Test Match between India and South Africa was supposed to start on Friday. Actually it was supposed to start a day later. I was embarrassed that I had got up at 6:30 to watch the match only to find out that there was no such match. Well, as usual I started following news on NDTV.

Rahul Gandhi was supposed to visit Mumbai for engagements which seemed not to important. But due to the statements that he had made a few days earlier about Marathi-Non Marathi, Shiv Sena (the self propagated savior of marathi maanoos) had made it a point to draw mileage from this unimportant visit. It is quite disgusting that we spend so much of our valuable time following such unimportant people like Rahul Gandhi and Shiv Sena and their useless, mindless activities. The national media sell them like hot cakes, and we buy them with the same excitement.

Whats wrong with all of us??? Why does no one talk about price rise, why does no one talk about hunger and poverty, why does no one talk about unemployment, why does no one talk about scarcity of water, food management, absence of a health care system for Indians???

We are just obsessed about non issues, complete non issues. We follow SRK comments, we follow Shiv Sena comments, we follow IPL snub of Pakistan players (the world hasn't fallen down for them or for us by the auction).

There is something very wrong with our mindset. Media does not help too!!! In India everything has become a paparazzi, there is no distinction between serious news and paparazzi, actually there is no serious news. Imagine a government which won general election even after 5 years of non action. And am sure they might repeat that again in 4 years time.

Nations are made by people and their thinking. Media helps the people build their opinions. Alas, our media is failing BIG time in that.

I would like to end it by mentioning a breaking news which was flashing on NDTV which said that Rahul Gandhi had visited some ATM. Big deal!!! Why did they not mention the amount he withdrew??? India was longing to know that too!!!

As I end, Star News is showing images of Maharastra Minister or someone important in Govt. to have picked up Rahul Gandhi's shoe, joota, chappal or whatever he was wearing!!!

DISGUSTING PEOPLE, DISGUSTING ACTIONS AND EQUALLY DISGUSTING MEDIA!!!
